EARTHLANTIS
3D Unity Game
About Earthlantis
Earthlantis is a complete game made in Unity 3D.
The game’s main purpose is to educate and raise awareness against plastic pollution in a fun and creative way.
The project was designed for teenagers (14-17 years old) and build based on their preferences and wishes.
Educational games can be fun too
Plastic pollution is extremely hazardous. I designed the game so that after playing it, the user is more aware of their surroundings without making it boring by adding multiple, different mechanics.
I optimized the code so that it can run on any computer.
My team and I thoroughly tested members of our target audience for eight weeks to ensure that it matched their preferences.
What have I worked on?
I coded the game entirely, but I also helped with level design, some 3D models (Blender), sound design, playtesting, researching the target audience and sketches. More than that, I have also used the Agile methods of working (Scrum boards, daily stand ups, sprints, etc.).
My responsabilities include:
PROGRAMMING
- Complete the gameplay, core system tasks and core programming entirely.
- Writing and maintaining engine plugins and external tools with the team to ensure productivity across numerous departments using C#.
RESEARCH
- Researched the target audience and made statistics based on the testing
sessions.
- Implemented psychological research findings to make farming gameplay more engaging, and helped integrate it with combat.
SCRUM MASTER
- Organized the team using AGILE working methods.
ARTIST AND LEVEL DESIGNER
- Worked on 3D models and 2D arts.
- Worked on the environmental decor.
- Created puzzle and level designs for all parts of the game.
UX/UI
- Implement in-game UI closely with art and related gameplay systems with design departments.
